Purple Ice should always be used in conjunction with antifreeze in regions where freezing temperatures occur, as it does not provide freeze protection on its own. It is recommended for any water/glycol pressurized cooling system, including those using traditional green silicate-based glycols or the newer OAT or HOAT-based glycols.

Royal Purple's Purple Ice is a 2-in-1 radiator conditioner that offers year-round defense against corrosion through its advanced corrosion inhibitor and wetting agent. Extensive testing has confirmed that Purple Ice outperforms comparable products in reducing coolant temperatures, while also providing extra corrosion protection.

It is important to ensure that the cooling system is working properly and free of blockage and corrosion before using Purple Ice. The use of bottled, filtered drinking water is recommended, as distilled water should only be used when mixed with at least 50% antifreeze.

When using Purple Ice, the recommended dosage is 1 oz per quart of coolant for a 50/50 mix, or 2 oz per quart of coolant for straight water. The product should be replaced annually or every 30,000 miles, whichever comes first.

It is crucial to note that Purple Ice does not provide freeze protection, so users must follow the manufacturer's recommendations when antifreeze is required.
